TikTok Shop reserves the right to request additional documentation during the product approval process.

Requirements for Restricted Products

Category-Level Qualification

The following types of products require category-level qualification. Select a product type below to view the applicable qualification requirements.

Product-Level Qualification

The remaining categories require product-level qualification. Sellers who do not meet the requirements listed below are prohibited from listing those restricted products on TikTok Shop.

We regularly review shops for compliance with our policies. If violations are identified, enforcement actions may be applied. This may include, but is not limited to:
  • Deducting points from your Account Health Rating (a metric that measures your performance against our seller policies)
  • Removing product listings
  • Revoking access to offer products for sale
  • Issuing refunds to customers

Violations may result in corrective actions, including, but not limited to, immediate suspension or termination of selling privileges, removing product listings, destruction of inventory without reimbursement, issuing refunds to customers temporary and/or permanent withholding of payments, and termination of the business relationship. Sellers who list non-compliant, illegal or otherwise unsafe products may also be exposed to civil and/or criminal liability under applicable law.

  • Accurately categorize and describe products in accordance with TikTok Shop's listing standards
  • Avoid miscategorizing or deceptively describing products to circumvent restrictions
  • Provide additional information or guarantees for certain restricted categories
