This policy outlines the requirements you must follow regarding gambling on TikTok Shop. These rules are in place to protect platform integrity and ensure a fair and safe experience for all users.

Gambling

Gambling occurs when users provide money or any other item of value in a game or activity for the chance to win a prize. For example, this includes situations where users pay to spin a wheel for the possibility of winning an item of any value.

Requirements for Gambling

Gambling activities are prohibited on TikTok Shop, including in both livestreams and videos even if you do not engage with viewers or offer a chance to win a prize.
You are prohibited from selling any gambling-related products, services, or paraphernalia on the platform. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Casino-style games, including:
  • Roulette and roulette game entry
  • Slot machines
  • Claw machines
  • Wagers
  • Lotteries
  • Raffles

Gamification

Gamification refers to tactics that add an element of chance or randomness to the users' shopping experience, often to boost user engagement.
You are prohibited from doing the following gamification activities:

• Oyster openings
• Sweepstakes entries
• Lucky spin, wheel, or draw
• Lucky scoops

Giveaways Requirements

• Free giveaways must be conducted using TikTok Shop’s official LIVE Giveaway feature. For information on this tool, see our LIVE Giveaway feature guide.
• Using lucky spins, wheels, draws, or other games for giveaways whether to select winners or choose gifts or products is not allowed.
• Giveaways must be free to enter. Purchase-based incentives (for example, Buy-One-Get-One or similar offers) must be clearly listed.

Auctions

An auction is a sale where items are sold to the highest bidder. Customers place bids, and when the auction ends, the item is sold to the customer with the highest bid. For more information, see our Auctions Requirements.
All live bidding must be run using TikTok’s Countdown Bidding Feature, which has a built-in timer so customers can place bids as the clock counts down. Once the countdown ends, the highest bid is locked in.

• Any auctions or related activities conducted outside this feature are not allowed.
• Misuse of the Countdown Bidding Feature is also prohibited.

TikTok Shop prohibits behaviors that undermine platform integrity, including potentially manipulative or deceptive activity. Creators engaging in such behavior may, at TikTok Shop's discretion, be removed from the auction feature.
TikTok Shop reserves the right to remove access to this feature at any time.

Breaks

A "break" is when a sealed pack, box, or case of items is opened typically during a livestream and the contents are distributed to paying customers.You can offer breaks on TikTok Shop if your Shop Performance Score (SPS) ≥ 2.5 and have successfully completed the process in the Qualification Center (the entry point in Seller Center where sellers apply for feature access) (refer to the How to Apply section below).Only the following products are currently allowed:

• Trading Cards
• Memorabilia

Breaks are also considered collectibles, so you must follow the Collectibles Policy when offering them.

Break Types You Can Offer

The following break types are allowed on TikTok Shop:

• Personal Breaks
  • Customers purchase an entire pack, box, or case, which the seller then opens live on their behalf.
• Pick Your Team/Type Breaks
  • Customers select the type of item they want—such as a team, player, division, or energy. After the break is conducted live, they claim the items that match their selection.
• "Pull-Til-You-Win" Breaks
  • A buyer pays for packs to be opened continuously until a predefined "hit" for them appears. The stream stops the moment the hit is pulled and every opened pack goes to that buyer.
  • If the item target is not pulled within the guaranteed minimum number of items, you must continue opening sealed items until it is opened.
  • All opened items are shipped to the customer.
  • Listings for "pull-til-you-win" breaks must clearly include the minimum pack guarantee in the title or variant.
• Case Breaks
  • The seller opens an entire factory-sealed case containing multiple boxes.
  • Spots are sold in advance and all hits are revealed live, then mailed to the corresponding buyers.

All break types must be sealed and unmodified prior to the break.
Note: Break livestreams are only allowed within the US.

Prohibited Break Types

The following are non-exhaustive examples of prohibited Card Breaks on TikTok Shop:

• Random Team Break:
  • Everyone pays the same buy-in and teams are assigned randomly. Each buyer receives every card pulled for whatever team they drew.
  • This is allowed if you are using a manufacturer-sealed surprise set.
• Draft-Style Break:
  • After the boxes are opened, participants select the revealed cards in a serpentine draft order (reversing the selection order every even round) that was randomized beforehand. This continues until the whole break is claimed.
• Bounties Break:
  • The seller sets a live "bounty" for hitting a specific card or serial-number. If the chase card appears, its owner takes the bounty, otherwise it rolls over and grows for the next break.
• Pull Games Break:
  • Instead of sealed packs, buyers purchase individual "pulls" from a face-down stack, mystery bag or wall. Each pull is revealed on-air and can range from common cards to high-value chasers.
• Points Program Break:
  • Spots earn loyalty points with the seller's shop. These points accumulate across streams and can be cashed in for discounted or free break entries.
• Train Game:
  • Viewers try to keep a "train" alive by buying consecutive spots before a short time expires. Reaching the required length unlocks extra packs, giveaways or chat-wide bonuses.
• King of the Hill:
  • Throughout the break, the lowest (or highest) serial-numbered card pulled sits "on the hill". The holder at the end wins an added prize or sealed product.
• HP Battle:
  • Common in Pokemon streams where each entrant opens a pack and only the single card with the highest (or sometimes lowest) printed Hit-Points number counts. That player scoops extra packs or even the whole box.

Prohibited Marketing Claims for Breaks

1. Floor and Ceiling Value Claims

Sellers must not reference or imply specific item values, including:

• Minimum values (for example, "floor of $50", "nothing less than...", "minimum value guaranteed", "there are no duds in this set")
• Maximum values (for example, "ceiling of $500," "worth up to…," "potential value of…")
• Average or expected values (for example, "average value $200", "typical outcome is...")
• Value ranges (for example, "$50-$500 range", "between X and Y")

1. Scarcity and Opportunity Framing

Sellers must not present break items as rare opportunities, prizes, or investments, including:

• Extremely rare or once-in-a-lifetime opportunities (for example, "you’ll never see this again," "rarest item available," "one-of-a-kind chance," "golden ticket")
• Prize-like acquisitions (for example, "win the prize," "grand prize item," "jackpot card")
• Investment opportunities (for example, "investment piece," "will appreciate," "hold value")
• Limited-availability claims that exaggerate rarity or exclusivity

Requirements for Breaks

These requirements apply to break listings, specifically those sold through live auctions or streaming events. Each listing must meet the following requirements to be eligible for sale.

1. Product Category

Choosing the right category ensures your listing appears in search and filters. Break products must be from the same category. Select the most accurate category for your break:

• Collectibles > Trading Cards and Accessories
  • Sports Trading Cards > Sports Card Breaks > Trading Card Breaks Only
  • Sports Trading Cards > Sports Card Breaks > Mixed Breaks
  • Non-Sports Trading Cards > Non-Sports Card Breaks
• Collectibles > Memorabilia Breaks
  • Sports Collectibles > Memorabilia Breaks
  • Entertainment > Breaks

1. Product Title

Titles must reflect the nature of the break. You can keep titles general—especially for live selling—or include more detail when appropriate.

• Allowed Examples:
  • Live Auction Sports Trading Cards
  • Cards on the Screen - Mystery Pack Break
  • Pick Your Energy - Shrouded Fable Elite Trainer Box (ETB) CASE BREAK (x90 Packs) (for memorabilia breaks)

You are not required to reference specific players, teams, or products in the title, but you may do so if relevant.

1. Product Description

Your product description must give buyers enough information to understand what they are purchasing. The level of detail can vary depending on the break type, but the following are required:

• You must include:
  • The card or memorabilia type or category
    • Examples: sports, non-sport, pre-owned, mystery pack, repack
  • A general explanation of how the break works
    • Example: "Participants will receive cards pulled live based on selected energy type."
    • Example: "Mystery repack cards will be revealed live and distributed to buyers post-break."
• Optional, but encouraged:
  • Mention general contents if known (teams, players, themes, styles, certification info)
    • Example: "This autographed bat is certified by Beckett, Fanatics, or JSA (James Spence Authentication)."
    • Example: "Cards may include rookies and legends from major sports leagues."

Detailed itemization of every card or memorabilia piece is not required, especially for live breaks.

1. Product Images

Your images should help buyers identify the break, but you are not required to show every individual card or item.

• You may include:
  • Company or brand logos
  • Images of sealed products or break formats
  • Themed graphics that represent the type of break
• You do not need to include:
  • Photos of each individual card or item shown during the break
  • Full inventory breakdowns

1. Break Fulfillment Requirements

All break purchases must result in a physical product being shipped to the customer.

• Every customer must receive at least one product for every break purchase.
• Products shipped must come from the same category as the break.
  • Example: In a baseball trading card break, each buyer must receive at least one baseball trading card.
  • Example: In a helmet memorabilia break, each buyer must receive at least one helmet.

Mystery Boxes and Similar Products

Mystery boxes and similar products are items or collections of items that customers do not know about until they open them. These products can only be promoted on TikTok Shop if they meet specific requirements.

Enforcement Actions and Appeals

We regularly review shops for compliance with our policies. If violations of the gambling rules outlined in this policy are identified, we may take enforcement actions. This may include, but is not limited to:

• Deducting points from your Account Health Rating (a metric that measures a seller's compliance with platform policies)
• Removing product listings
• Revoking your access to offer products for sale
• Issuing refunds to customers
• Removing access to features

• "Get your name into our raffle pool. Purchase now for a chance to get a gift!"
• "Just $1 to play. Guess the number on the dice to win a prize."
• Playing claw or bingo games on behalf of viewers.

Randomized Product Selection

• Using any offline or unofficial randomization tool instead of the Live Giveaway tool
• "Mystery earrings at $7 each. Get your own blind box."
• "We have the notebook, tote bag, or fan on the wheel. Let's spin the wheel to see what your gift is."

Purchase-Based Incentives That Feel Like Prizes

• "First customer wins a free candle with their purchase."
• "Buyers who spend $20 will be entered into a lucky draw for a prize."
